Starpulse is reporting that Dina Lohan is OK with her daughter being a lesbian. Good for her no matter what the truth is about her daughter. More parents should make it a policy to be happy as long as their children are happy. If their child is an adult then they are free to do as they please and it isn't the parent's responsibility any more. Whatever your kid does or doesn't should not be something you love them less for and if it is not physically harmful to them and if it doesn't put them in a potential situation where they may be incarcerated then why the hell should you care about anything else other than their happiness. So if Lindsay and Samantha Ronson are an item then power to them. Let them snuggle at the Cannes festival and let them give kisses to one another. If it is friends then happy day - if it is lovers then that is fine too - and who are we to judge if it is a fling or a permanent thing or whatever? Let them do their thing.

Wow!! Usually when I hear of some crazy news story I will say something like "only in America", but in this case I am forced to say "only in Greece". Apparently 3 islanders from Lesbos have asked the courts of Greece to draw the line between gay women and the natives of the island. These islanders have taken a gay rights group to court over the use of the word Lesbian. "My sister can't say she is a Lesbian" says Dimitris Lambrou when speaking of the case. He and others are angry because a particular group of women have usurped the word. He says that the word lesbian just began to be used in the last few decades to describe women who love women but I suppose he hasn't bothered to research what he speaks of. The poet Sappho (the muse for the word) was around in 600 B.C. and there is documentation proving the use of the term Lesbian to describe women who love women as far back as the 1800's (more than a few decades). I would say it is a bit too late for fighting the case. I would say that there is likely a statute of limitations on various offenses and because the majority of the world has been using the word for the entire length of my life (33years) and beyond I would say that the statute of limitations has run out on that complaint. What is next? Oklahomans will sue for the use of the term Okie Dokie and receive residual payments from Ned Flanders, People with the last name Murphy will sue for the reference to Murphy's law saying they have nothing to do with the making of the law. Wildlife advocates can sue people who call each other dodo birds. Farmers can sue for the express use of the word JackAss. British cigarette manufacturers can sue for the use of the word fag. The list of lawsuits pending will go on and on if they are allowed to set a precedence. For that matter if anyone who was born in the 1920's is offended they can sue for the use of the term Gay. Oh My!! Perhaps the Greeks should sue the remaining family members of the poet Sappho who was somewhat of an advocate of women loving women and who was responsible for the reference to the word in the first place.

She says "their [homosexuals] lifespans are shorter" She is likely getting this from some biased statistacal report she has read somewhere. The fact is that this is not true. Once again people who have an agenda against equality are known for twisting the statistics by purposely leaving out parts of the homosexual community. This may be a true statistic of people who are HIV positive but it is not true when 'healthy' homosexuals are included in the picture. As a matter of fact it is likely that HIV negative homosexual males live longer than the average straight male which brings the numbers up for homosexuals in general. When considering that the average gay male lives longer than the average straight male and the average lesbian lives about the same amount of time as her straight counterparts then the averages are about the same.
